Excellent Turkish restaurant! The menu was extensive: we had trouble picking. My Mengen Special main was lamb and mushrooms covered in the most delicious tomato cream sauce. I liked it so much that I couldn't stop eating it. My friends and I also enjoyed the platter of cold mezze, which was a nice size for 3 people. The Turkish red wine was fairly good. They even gave us a dessert flan with cinnamon on top for free. I would have gladly paid for it, given how tasty it was.
The atmosphere was relaxed, working equally well as a date spot or as a dinner with friends. (There was a table of 8 in the back serenading a friend for her birthday.) It didn't feel like a kebab place at all, which had given me pause in the reviews. I would definitely return! -

Inexpensive as street takeaway doner shops go: lamb doner, chips, bottle of water for 8£. Chips cooked immediately so hot, vinegar and salt offered for my order. The doner was fatty and a little tough. If you like yours that way, then this is your place.

Not as good as some of the other Turkish places in north London but it does the trick if you're craving it. Dinner for four came to £100.
We had a few starters to share. Hummus with lamb wasn't bad but the taramasalata and aubergine yogurt spread were too yogurt heavy.
Mains were good. Everyone enjoyed their lamb dishes. I had the veggie moussaka which was average. A bit in the small side and a bit too heavy on the peppers.
Overall a good meal that was also great value given that we also had wine and beer. -

Turkish kebab gone gourmet!
Noa was once a run down little kebab store. Probably due to the increase pedestrian traffic in Islington, they've been able to up their game.
The quality of food is exception for the takeaway part, though I won't recommend dining in.
If you've had a big night, and in the area, Noa is definitely the place to drop-in to. -

This unassuming kebab shop makes some amazing meals! 6 of us ate for 71 pounds including wine & beer! The service was superb. The portions are enormous. The chicken shwarma is juicy and flavorful. Ask for extra garlic sauce (free of charge), I can't get enough of it. To top it off they offered us fresh mint tea, on the house. It actually had mint in the glass and looked fresh and healthy. Over all great atmosphere, service & food. Highly recommended!
